Opera says that Opera GX is a “special version of the Opera browser” that is meant to “complement gaming.” The goal is to help you get “the most out of both gaming and browsing.”

According to a representative study conducted by Opera on gamers in the US, 14% of people play computer games on their macOS devices, while 82% use Windows machines. Men in general also seem to play a wider variety of games while women enjoy playing puzzle games like Candy Crush and memory games on their mobile phones.

According to the results, 65 percent of those surveyed follow games on YouTube, followed by 25% using Twitch and 12% resorting to Mixer, with some overlap.

Regardless of the platform one follows, Opera GX’s Network Limiter allows users to reduce the network bandwidth used by their browser to stream or watch gameplay, ensuring that they are able to play without lag. The special Twitch integration in the sidebar allows everyone to follow their favorite streamers while the Video pop-out function allows people to play YouTube or other videos on top of the game they are currently playing.

Connect your computer and phone with My Flow

Launching Opera Touch and My Flow for the first time will take you through the connection process. If you wish to reconnect a phone or create a new connection, follow the steps below.

To connect to My Flow with a QR scan:

1. From Opera Touch on your phone, tap and tap Settings.
2. At the top, tap Connect a computer.
3. Tap Scan QR Code (you may be asked to allow Opera Touch to access the camera).
4. From your Opera browser for computers, open My Flow in Opera’s sidebar and click Connect Your Phone or Reveal the QR code.
5. Scan the revealed QR code with your phone. Your phone and computer will connect.

Should you be unable to scan the provided QR code, you can manually enter a connection code to connect to My Flow.

To set up My Flow with a connection code:

1. From Opera Touch on your phone, tap and tap Settings.
2. Tap Connect a computer.
3. From your Opera browser for computers, open My Flow in Opera’s sidebar and click Connect Your Phoneor Reveal the QR code.
4. Below the revealed QR code, click Manually enter connection code.
5. On your phone, tap Scan QR Code (you may be asked to allow Opera Touch to access the camera).
6. Tap Type the connection code and type in the code given from Opera for computers.
7. Tap Enter. Your phone and computer will connect.

If both methods fail to connect, refresh the My Flow panel in your Opera computer browser to generate a new QR code or connection code.

Disconnecting your phone from My Flow

Disconnecting your phone will prevent it from accessing content in My Flow. The content will not be erased from My Flow and will be available to other connected devices. Anything previously sent from the phone you wish to disconnect will remain in My Flow.
